Sestriere Ski Trip

Host of the 2006 Olympics, we are delighted to offer school groups the opportunity to ski the world famous ‘Milky Way’ circuit. Our unbeatable packages include the entire Milky Way pass, enabling groups to access over 400km of unbelievable skiing terrain!

The internationally famous resort of Sestriere has access to 598 individual pistes. In addition to the 85 km of skiing at Sestrière itself, the lift pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Milky Way resorts of Clavière, Sansicario, Sauze d'Oulx and Montgenèvre giving access to one of the largest linked ski areas in Europe.

The highest altitude of all the Milky Way resorts gives Sestriere the best snow conditions and is a great choice for early and late season departures plus Sestrière has 60% of its slopes covered by artificial snow making facilities as a back up and for extra piece of mind to ensure great snow conditions throughout the season.

The beginners runs fan out above the main ski school meeting point. The intermediates will enjoy Sestrière's popular and well known areas such as Banchetta and Sises. There are runs of all kinds from short steep moguls to long wide motorway cruisers. To get sense of the place and those who like to explore, head on over to the pleasant wooded trails above neighbouring Sauze d'Oulx. The trails over to Montgenèvre can be tackled by intermediate skiers via blues and reds.

If you are a good skier, you should not miss the Mount Sises in Sestriere. This is the World Cup and World Championships giant slalom run. The run is steep but wide in the highest part then flatter around the Mount Alpette and becoming once again quite vertical under the chair lift where the old ski lift once passed.

Our groups stay in the charming hamlet of Pragelato which has a gondola that takes you straight upto the Sestriere ski circuit and is only a 10 minute coach ride from the beginners slopes and ski school meeting point in Sestriere.
