Sauze D'Oulx Ski Trip

Sauze D’oulx is one of the most popular resorts in the Milky Way (Via Lattea) ski area and in 2006 played host to the Olympic freestyle skiing events. With access to the Milky Way’s 400km of pistes, there is superb skiing available for all abilities. The Milky Way liftpass covers Sestiere and Sansicario both of which can be reached on skis and the more remote areas above Claviere and Montgenevre that can be reached by transport.

In the resort itself there are 120km of pistes and 38 lifts (92 in Milky Way) that reach 2825m, which provides extensive and uncrowded slopes that are great for both beginners and intermediates. The local ski school is also said to have a great reputation for patient instructors with a good standard of spoken English. Although this resort is in a great sunny position, there are over a thousand snow cannons and an army of staff to ensure the slopes are in excellent condition.

The village of Sauze D’oulx has a very charming and attractive old centre with narrow and winding streets and a good range of restaurants, patisseries and a small shopping precinct. Off the slope activities also include a cinema, bobsleigh run, snowmobiling and ice skating rink. All of this makes it the perfect resort for your school ski trip.
