Cesana Torinese Ski Trip

This traditional Alpine village is located in Italy’s Susa Valley, on the slopes of Mount Fraiteve. The resort itself forms part of the Milky Way ski area one of the largest linked ski areas in Europe and straddles the border between France and Italy allowing you to ski two countries on one pass!
The resort is linked with Claviere and Montgenèvre on one side, and Sestriere, Sansicario and Sauza d’Oulx on the other. The Milky Way ski pass offers over 400kms of slopes!

The lifts are a short walk from the village centre and connect in to the huge Milky Way circuit. Together, Cesana and its neighbouring resort Claviere, offer 90kms of slopes that cater for all levels of ability. For beginners there are plenty of gentle nursery and beginner slopes and wide open blues to progress on to. Furthermore the more advanced skiers will certainly not be disappointed with the huge variety of pistes that the Milky Way has to offer.

Cesana Torinese village is compact and manageable and there are plenty of après ski activities in the local area to keep groups entertained in the evenings. These include hiking, ice-skating, ice hockey and bobsledding. As well as the small restaurants, pizzerias, bars and discotheques, there are interesting local handicraft and clothing shops, an indoor pool and a sauna. An alternative après ski activity is a trip to the impressive ruins of Chaberton Fortress that stands at 3,130m, the highest fortress in Europe, and is surrounded by exquisite scenery.
