Bad Kleinkirchheim Ski Trip

Located in the Nockberg Mountains, just north of Villach, Bad Kleinkirchheim is an old spa resort town that is famed as much for skiing as for its thermal remedies. Home of Olympic downhill skier Franz Klammer, BKK is ideal for groups due to the extensive sports facilities and excellent ski schools.

BKK has 100kms of runs mainly suitable for intermediates, and there are also a good number of beginner and expert slopes, as well as excellent off-piste, plus a specialist park and a half-pipe for snowboarders. Thirty-four chairlifts, surface lifts and gondolas operate over a vertical drop of 1,370m and supply all pistes the longest of which is five kilometres! 700 snow machines guarantee perfect snow conditions on 97% of the slopes.

The area is developing too, there is a new restaurant on the top of the station Nationalparkbahn Brunnach, a carving slope, a World Cup Race slope "Franz Klammer" , velocity-test runs and a permanent racing trail; all included in the lift pass!
The streets of Bad Kleinkirchheim are lined with ancient medieval buildings and dotted with numerous cafés and restaurants. A wide range of shops and boutiques sell everything from sports goods and designer wear, to jewellery and gifts.
