Cannon Mountain sits in the heart of the Franconia Notch State Park, which is located in the White Mountain National Forest. Cannon offers breathtaking scenery and some of the most exciting skiing and snowboarding in the east of the US. Cannon is renowned for its expert terrain, but recently the resort has expanded its beginner’s areas with the Tuckerbrook Family Learning Area making it ideal for skiers of all abilities.
The Cannon ski resort covers an area of 179 acres where there are 72 trails. 32% of the trails are expert runs and Cannon has some of the most expert terrain in New England. 47% are blue intermediate trails which have been widened so that intermediate skiers can ski the whole resort easily. Lastly there are 21% trails for the beginners. The resort has a 70 person cable car which is able to take passengers to the summit in just 8 minutes. The après-ski is good with a range of leisure activities and shops in the area.
